Our Commitment to the Environment

At Klein’s Custom Countertops, conservation, energy efficiency and recycling are more than simply words or a philosophy. They form the foundation of our business model and are why we have been successful for more than 50 years.

Our stone cutting and shaping process is state of the art, with custom modifications that reduce the time and electricity needed to cut the stone and allows us to utilize 97 percent of all stone materials! This efficiency and conservation not only reduces our impact on the environment, but lowers costs for our customers as well.

Klein’s is also a major recycler as well. All water used is captured, filtered and recycled on-site to be used in the fabrication process. Remnant materials left over from used stone slabs or breakage are donated to the University of Utah School of Architecture as part of a new partnership.

Finally, Klein’s has made a strong commitment to the environment by the products it chooses to utilize. Silestone quartz is one of very few countertops to have earned Greenguard Certification and to qualify for LEED green building credits. Particle board used during installation is made from 100 percent recycled fibers. ECO, the latest offering, is the first recycled countertop of its kind to offer full design and color versatility, while utilizing both pre and post consumer recycled materials.
